This system has a double cross, with each self-locking arm having its own vertical adjustment a (see figures to the left and below) . The compressor allows you to work at eye-level, which eliminates the danger of bending over the spring and keeps you out of the spring's trajectory. Also featured is a safety tie down chain b( see figure below) which, combined with the double cross system, makes the compressor unparalleled for safety The Amstutz will service 99% of struts on the market today. All springs from 3 to 12 inches in diameter, including non-concentric models, can be serviced. Each arm can be used with either a hook or an angle iron. Using the right combination of hooks and angle irons, the coil spring can be compressed with a minimal amount of force, which reduces the risk of weakening or breaking the spring. Combinations This feature also allows for the spring to be repositioned quickly and efficiently. The compressor's stand is fully adjustable and stable. Dolly-style wheels are also available

	1. Angle Irons and Hooks Here, a minimum amount of stroke is required to compress the spring and top plate combination. This allows for the release of the shock without decompressing the spring. This method services 90% of struts including non-concentric models and springs with few exposed loops.
	2. Hooks and Hooks This combination allows the shock and top plate to be serviced at the same time. All old style coils with more than four exposed spring loops can be serviced using this method.
	3. Hooks and Angle Irons This combination is used for servicing top plates and dust boots without decompressing the spring. It's a big time saver since 50% of strut work is done to noisy or broken plates. Concentric and non-concentric springs can be serviced.
	4.Angle Irons and Angle Irons Small diameter springs are serviced with this combination, as are springs that cannot or should not be serviced with hooks. Here, epoxy damage caused by most other tools is eliminated, since the angle irons contact only the plates. This in turn minimizes moisture and rust that can penetrate the spring.
